Integrations
The Integrations page lets you connect Omoplata to external services and tools. You can generate API tokens that allow third-party applications to access your club's data securely.
Navigate to Settings > Integrations to manage your connections.
API tokens
API tokens let external services connect to Omoplata on behalf of your club. You might use them for:
- Mobile apps -- A custom app for your club that shows class schedules and records attendance.
- Website widgets -- Embedding live class schedules or member counts on your external website.
- Automation tools -- Connecting Omoplata to tools like Zapier to trigger actions when events happen (e.g., send a Slack message when a new member signs up).
- Reporting -- Connecting external reporting tools for advanced analytics.
If your club does not use any external tools, you can skip this section entirely.
Creating an API token
If no token exists yet, click the Activate button to generate your first token. If you already have tokens, click Manage to view and create additional ones.
When creating a token:
- Give it a descriptive name so you know what it is used for (e.g., "Mobile App" or "Website Widget").
- Omoplata generates a unique secret token.
- Copy the token immediately -- it is only shown once for security reasons.
- Share the token with the person or service that needs it (e.g., your web developer or the external tool's settings page).
Keep tokens secure
API tokens provide access to your club's data. Treat them like passwords:
- Never share tokens publicly or post them online.
- Use a separate token for each service so you can revoke them individually.
- If you suspect a token has been compromised, revoke it immediately.
Managing existing tokens
Click Manage to open the token management panel. Here you can:
- View active tokens -- See all tokens that have been created, along with their names and creation dates.
- Revoke a token -- Delete a token to immediately disconnect the service using it.
What external services can access
Through the API, external services can:
- Read and send messages through the messaging system.
- Access member data, profiles, and memberships.
- Read class schedules and record attendance.
- Access lead information.
Each token only accesses data for your club. If you manage multiple clubs, each one has its own separate tokens.
